Holker Hall
Holker Hall is the home of Lord and Lady Cavendish, and is a magnificent, well loved, stately home. Set in the exceptional, enchanting countryside the views are amazing.

Lakeland Motor Museum 
Lakeland Motor Museum has over 30,000 exhibition on display, providing an education, nostalgic atmosphere.

Levens Hall 
Levens Hall dates back to the 1500s and has a great deal of history for visitors to explore. The home still contains some fantastic paintings, furniture, Spanish wall coverings, clicks and English patchwork. The Garden is grade 1 listed, dates back to 1694, and is still in its original design. Levens Park was originally a medieval deer park, and is home to a small herd of Norwegian black fallow deer and Bagot Goats.

Dove Cottage and Wordsworth Museum 
Dove Cottage was the home of William Wordsworth from December 1799 to May 1808. Dove Cottage is a Grade 1 listed building and visitors are offered a guided tour, telling the story of the house and family. The home still contains many of Wordsworth's items. The garden is also open, depending on the weather, and has been restored to the way William and his wife lovingly created it.

Honister Slate Mine
At Honister Slate mine in Borrowdale you are able to watch the 300 year old process of slate being riven (or split). Guided tours into the mines are available regularly throughout the day, the guides will show you the spectacular features of the mines and explain the detailed history.
