Holidays in the Ribble Valley

Fancy escaping the hustle and bustle of modern day holidays? If you do, then the Ribble Valley is for you. The Ribble Valley is a rural haven of spectacular scenery full of mystery, legend, and diverse natural habitats.

The majority of the Ribble Valley forms part of the Forest of Bowland, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty making it an ideal place to come for a holiday.

South Lakeland Parks operate a holiday park in Todber in the heart of the Ribble Valley which has a Four-Star Award from the English Tourism Council and has been awarded the David Bellamy Silver Award for our commitment and demonstration of their concern for the environment.

Todber Holiday Park has something to make sure everyone has a fantastic holiday such as a bar and a function room, an outdoor children’s play area, a football field, an arcade and more.

Accommodation in Todber Holiday Park is truly outstanding whether you opt to stay in a Standard Caravan or a Super Deluxe Holiday Lodge.

Don’t let the name “Standard Caravan” put you off as these are far removed from the caravans that swamp the motorways each Bank Holiday weekend! The Standard Caravan has every essential for a fantastic holiday, whether you choose the 2 bed unit or the 3 bed unit. The 2 bed unit includes a twin bedroom and a double bedroom whereas the 3 bed unit includes two twin bedrooms and a double bedroom. As well as this, the Standard Caravan features a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom plus shower and so much more.

The Super Deluxe Holiday Lodge is exactly as it says in the name. Like the Standard Caravan, the Super Deluxe Holiday Lodge is available in a 2 bed unit or a 3 bed unit. As well as boasting a huge lounge/diner, it features an en-suite shower room, a bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen not to mention double glazing and central heating should you be visiting during the winter.

Don’t get distracted with all these facilities though! There is so much more to do and explore in the Ribble Valley. There are plenty of scenic walking and cycling routes as well as fishing spots. The area even has its own resident Ghost Walker who recounts some his favourite legends as he accompanies you on his guided walk exploring haunted cobbled streets and burial grounds. Or why not take a tour around the Ribble Valley’s Sculpture Trail reflecting the history of the borough. If you are into shopping, then the historic towns of Skipton and Clitheroe are for you. Clitheroe is well known throughout Lancashire for its high number of specialist shops including the award winning Byrnes Wine Shop, Cowman's Famous Sausage Shop and the Exchange Coffee Company which stocks more than 35 different varieties of coffee and 60 specialist teas.

Todber gives you the choice of having a quiet relaxing holiday, an adventure holiday, a luxury holiday, a family holiday...  The list goes on.
