South Lakeland Parks Sponsors Morecambe Bay Events

South Lakeland Parks, the local holiday park operator, is an official sponsor of Morecambe Bay’s Sandcastle and Seaside Festivals, which form part of ‘Morecambe’s Top 20 Festivals’. The company is again at the forefront of the festivals and will be offering visitors at each festival the chance to win a holiday at one of its fantastic parks.  

The festivals will take place around The Platform, Morecambe Central Promenade and are free.  

Caroline Farrer, Group Marketing Manager of South Lakeland Parks and also judge at the Sandcastle Festival commented: “We are really looking forward to Morecambe’s Sandcastle and Seaside Festivals. South Lakeland Parks has always been a huge supporter of the local area and will continue to do so. It means a lot to the company to be an official sponsor to both events. Morecambe is a fantastic town and we hope everyone will come and visit our caravan and enter the competition to win a holiday. I am also honoured to have been asked to judge the sandcastle competition on the Sunday.”  

The Sandcastle Festival takes place on 6th and 7th August with a variety of family activities, beach games, street theatre, music and donkey rides. Watch professional sand artists create amazing sculptures on Saturday and where children can participate in a practice session with the experts. Sunday is competition day where you can impress the judges and win fabulous prizes.  

September 10th and 11th, sees the fantastic Seaside Festival come to town with music throughout the day before ‘Re-Take That’ headline for the evening and fireworks over the bay bring a close to events. Sunday sees the famous Red Arrows perform their aeronautical masterpiece at noon being joined in the skies by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.

Ocean Edge Park in the historic village of Heysham and Regent Park in Morecambe’s West End and are the two parks which will act as the main sponsors.  Visitors to the festivals will have an opportunity to take a look around one of South Lakeland Park’s caravan holiday homes which will be located on the Promenade.
