Lakes holiday company scores bronze
Caroline Guffogg and Rachel Flatley (pictured) of South Lakeland Parks collected their award at the RHS Tatton Flower Show along with Alastair Watson, Manager of White Cross Bay holiday park, Windermere.
Their award-winning garden was designed by Alison Ryan of Designs in Gardens, and Jane McNeela of Outside Alive, who are both freelance designers and garden design tutors. South Lakeland Parks – the parent company of White Cross Bay - commissioned the pair to create an entry for the competition to showcase its ultra-stylish Montreal holiday lodges made by PEC Luxury Leisure Homes.
Alison and Jane’s “Cool Garden” comprises structure, height, water and colour and includes open space for family use and a water feature as well as paving and grass. It boasts trees, shrubs, grasses, and herbaceous plants and a feature is tall Italian cypress trees and box balls in various sizes, plus specimen grasses.
Caroline Guffogg, Marketing Manager of South Lakeland Parks, based at Natland, Kendal, said: “The garden looked amazing and we are really pleased with the award as we were competing against dozens of other exhibitors.” It will remain on show at the event which goes on over the weekend.
