Morecambe Bay caravan park up for North West in Bloom' award

Regent Holiday Park in Morecambe has been nominated for a prestigious ‘North West in Bloom’ award for its picturesque flower beds which welcome visitors onto the site.

Park manager Daniel Thornton entered Regent into the awards on the advice of the judges of ‘Morecambe in Bloom’ who felt that the displays were above par.  “We enter the Morecambe in Bloom awards every year and have often done well, however this year the judges described our entrance and displays as fantastic and recommended we take our entry further.” Said Thornton.

Having completed the entry forms the park received notification from the organisers of ‘North West in Bloom’ that they were to receive an award for the ‘Holiday/Caravan Park’ category.

Thornton continues: “We are absolutely thrilled at this recognition.  We do not yet know exactly what award we will pick up but we’ll be pleased with whatever they give us.  If we receive the highest accolade then maybe we’ll take it to the next step and enter Regent Park into Britain in Bloom!”

The awards ceremony takes places on Thursday 21st October at Southport Theatre & Convention Centre.
